Chief Isaiah Oghenemaro Umude has collaborated with Deputy Senate President (DSP) Senator Ovie Omo-agege to felicitate with the people of Okpara community, Ethiope East Local Government, Delta state at Christmas.
Umude who’s a councilorship flag bearer of All Progressive Congress (APC) DSIEC ward 9, Okpara Waterside has on Sunday wished all Christians a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.
In a goodwill message, Chief Isaiah Oghenemaro Umude urged Christians in the Okpara community not to forget the essence of the season, which was a reminder of the birth of Jesus Christ, and the ideals for which he lived.
Similarly, the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has stressed the need for unity, even as he called on Nigerians to be their brothers’ keepers.
In his Christmas message, Omo-Agege urged Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of Christmas by reaching out to the less privileged in society.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, this is also a time for reflection and new resolve toward ensuring the unity of purpose and facilitating giant strides forward.
“Christmas retells not only the story of the birth of Jesus Christ about 2,000 years ago; it also represents great faith, great hopes,” he said.
