Rev Joseph Arawore of Anglican communion (Diocese of Warri) has warned the newly ordained priest that there’s is no vacancy for dubious ministers in the church.
Rev Arawore in his sermon titled, “The impact of making Pastors in this 21 century” told the new ministers that the Anglican Church doesn’t console lousy, rebellious, and unproductive clergymen.
Rev Joseph today made this statement at Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Igbudu Warri as the Diocese of Warri led by ‘Rt Rev Christian Ideh did their ‘Annual Trinity Ordination’ to install fresh clergies into the Anglican folds.
According to Rev Arawore, he defined his self-tagged ‘fire extinguisher priest’ as spiritual leaders that quench the fire of committed and hungry members of churches which they are posted to serve.
He indeed made reference to King Solomon in scriptures by saying King Solomon requested of wisdom from God in order to govern his people, knowing that the people of Israel are God’s special people.
Arawore also said many ministers have failed in this area just as King Saul, the first King of Isreal. He added that Saul was carried away with materials things and went ahead to carve a monument for him himself
He as well advises their wives that rather than been a dream killer, they should instead support their husbands knowing well that they are the church and God’s property.
Furthermore, the Trinity service saw the ordination of Rev Ajenakevwe Gospel, Rev Egbe James, Rev Adjohwonyo David, and Rev Shepherd Oghenekome as a.
Also, the whole congregation at ‘Good Shepherd’ were thrown into moments of joy as Rev Douglas Emofe and Rev Dennis Enamuotor were promoted to the office of a Revered Canon.
