Governors of Delta State, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa has reportedly lost his father shortly after battling with an ailment.
According to the report, Sir Arthur Okorie Okowa died in the early hours on Thursday at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, where he was receiving treatment
Furthermore, Solomon Okowa, brother to the governor confirmed the death of their father on Facebook.
Solomon wrote: “Daddy is gone to rest. Wonderful and strong daddy. A comforter, adviser, disciplinarian, God’s lover, peaceful and joyful loving father for all. May he rest in the hand of the Lord.”
A retired teacher, Pa. Okowa fondly called AOU, was the Okpara-Uku of Owa-Alero in the Owa Kingdom.
Born in August 1932 in Owa Alero, Ika North East Local Government Area of the state, Arthur passed on at 88.
However, His death came few hours after the Majority Leader of the state House of Assembly, Tim Owhefere also gave up the ghost after battling an undisclosed ailment in the past few weeks.
